Martian Made: Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

At Martian Made, we believe in better. Better pillows, better practices, and a better planet. That includes a zero tolerance stance on modern slavery and human trafficking. We may deal in comfort, but when it comes to ethics, we're anything but soft.

This statement is our official stand under the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015. It outlines how we ensure that every part of our operations, from studio to supply chain, remains free from forced labour, exploitation, and other horrors that have no place in the 21st century.

We’re fully committed to treating all people with dignity, fairness, and respect, no matter where they are on the map. Whether they’re crafting covers or shipping boxes, every individual connected to Martian Made deserves to work freely, safely, and with proper pay. Full stop.

To keep that promise, we’ve got a few key policies locked in and under regular review.

Employment Practices
Our people are here because they want to be. Not because they’re forced to be. We pay fairly, create safe environments, and follow proper hiring standards. Rocket science? No. Just good business.

Supply Chain Vetting
We work only with partners who share our values. Before joining forces, suppliers are screened, questioned, and expected to meet clear ethical criteria. We’re not into cutting corners or turning a blind eye.

Training and Awareness
From our HQ humans to our warehouse teams, we run regular training sessions so everyone knows how to spot and report red flags. Knowledge is power. Apathy is the enemy.

We also take a hands-on approach with our supply chain, actively working to uphold transparency and accountability.

We identify and prioritise any areas of risk and we act accordingly.
We don’t shy away from hard conversations with suppliers about their labour standards.
We audit. We inspect. We follow up.
And when things go wrong? We don’t walk away. We fix it properly and thoroughly.

This is not a box ticking exercise. It’s a living part of how we operate. We’ll continue to evolve our approach, challenge norms, and push for change. Being bold is not just a design choice. It’s a responsibility.

Martian Made is proud to stand against slavery in all its forms. We're here to make good stuff and do good while we’re at it.
